Spotlight 10: "AI Project Management Tools: All You Need to Know" with Elena Dorkina

Spotlight 11: "Project Leadership Lessons Learned: From basic training to boardroom" with Tom St.Onge
Date: Friday, May 10 at 12 pm
Abstract: In this session, we will distill down 20+ years of lessons learned from a career in leadership and project management. With a focus on the development of an effective project manager, the session will cover: The Principles of Leadership and how they support effective project management; Crisis management and how deliberate planning can enable project teams in all environments; The language challenge – the importance of clear, concise, communication; and De-centralizing of decision making and how to make it work for you.
Bio: Tom St.Onge is a decorated military veteran, professional engineer, and seasoned project manager. Tom spent 22 years in progressive assignments as a military engineering officer in the Canadian Armed Forces where he had the honour to lead small and large teams through challenging projects both here in Canada and abroad. Spotlight 13: "Inspire Accountability in Project Teams" with Neelima Chakara
Date: Thursday, May 9 at 12 pm
Abstract: Project managers need to get things done from not only their team but people across the organization who are often peers or seniors. This session addresses how project managers can inspire accountability across the spectrum in the interest of the project. At the end of this session, participants will be able to identify the elements that are necessary to build accountability and apply them in their everyday life towards the success of their projects and their career.

About the PD Days 2024 Hybrid Conference
The PMINB’s Professional Development Days conference hosts project managers from Canada and US. There are two ways to attend:
- Virtual Sessions [13 PDUs] - there will be 13 virtual sessions (one hour each) spread over the month of May, including a virtual keynote speaker. Most sessions will be recorded and available until August 31, 2024, depending on speaker and topic requirements.
- In-person Workshop [13 PDUs (Virtual) + 8 PDUs (In-person)] - there will also be an in-person full-day workshop held at the Four Points by Sheraton Moncton on May 21st, followed by an in-person networking event. Anyone who purchases a ticket for the In-person Workshop will also have access to all virtual sessions.

Accommodations
Discounted group rate for accommodations is available from the Four Points by Sheraton Moncton ($130 plus tax) per night for both May 20 and May 21. Since the in-person workshop starts at 9 am on May 21, some may consider driving to Moncton in the morning and booking accommodations for the night of the 21st to take full advantage of the networking event after the workshop.
