I’ve had the privilege of serving on the Board of Directors since July 2021, starting as the Director of Events in Saint John. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong passion volunteering for PMI-NB, which has guided my growth into the role of Vice President of Service Delivery.

My background includes being a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 20 years of management, operational, project management and business transformation experience. I am currently an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), which has further enhanced my ability to deliver successful, impactful projects. My experience extends to leading large, cross-functional teams and overseeing financial tracking to ensure our initiatives are both effective and sustainable.

In my time on the Board, I’ve played a key role in organizing virtual lunch-and-learns and networking events by securing exceptional speakers and volunteers to present topical discussions and information sessions relevant to the Project Management professional. With my background in project management, leadership, and a deep commitment to fostering collaboration, I am confident in my ability to drive positive change and help lead us into a new chapter of growth.

Looking to the future of PMI-NB, I am passionate about continuing to evolve our community's ability to connect, learn, and grow together. I am excited about the opportunity to potentially serve as your President Elect for 2025.  My vision is to build on the strong foundation we've established, while fostering even more collaboration and innovation across all levels of our organization. I believe in leveraging the diverse expertise within our membership to create more opportunities for professional development, deepen our impact through mentorship, and explore new ways to support both emerging and seasoned professionals. Together, we can shape a future where our community thrives in both adaptability and achievement.

Marco Lo Visco is an accomplished IT Director with over 20 years of project management experience, currently leading the largest IT group in the Atlantic region. He holds two Master’s degrees and a specialization from Harvard Business School, complemented by several project management certifications, including PMP, PRINCE2, ScrumMaster, PROSCI, and Business Relationship Management Professional. As a former board member of PMI chapters representing over 40,000 members, he is dedicated to advancing the project management profession. A proud member of Mensa Canada, Marco is committed to fostering innovation and excellence in project management.
