Event Scope

This is a PMI New Brunswick event designed to provide educational and professional development opportunities for members and friends of the Project Management Institute (PMI) New Brunswick. We are excited to bring multi-disciplinary professionals together to increase knowledge, provide networking opportunities and share skills. The event is expected to draw up to 150 attendees, and will be hosted over two days. The event will be combined with PMI NB’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).


Technical skills are core to project and program management, however, PMI research tells us technical skills alone are not enough in today’s increasingly complex and competitive marketplace. Organizations need value added skills and competencies in leadership and business intelligence to support strategic objectives and make a market difference.  The ideal skill set — PMI’s TALENT TRIANGLE — this is a combination of Technical Project and Program Management, Leadership and Strategic and Business Management expertise.

 In today’s competitive market and fiscal constraints, organizations must continue to do more with less, and this is where the TALENT TRIANGLE meets INNOVATIVE PROJECT MANAGEMENT.  This event will provide topics and information to support Project Managers with innovative ways to deliver results sooner, realize higher returns on investments, and achieve greater organizational strategic alignment.  Today and tomorrow’s Project Managers must be highly motivated to think outside the box and must be truly INNOVATIVE to achieve success.


Speakers/Workshop Invitation – Day 1 or Day 2

PMI New Brunswick is seeking speakers to present on Innovative Project Management, leadership, or other innovative current topics.  If you would like to share your knowledge and experience with other industry professionals we would like to hear from you! Our goal is to also have as many of the sessions interactive with the audience, if you have a workshop idea, please let us know. 

Call for Papers Invitation – Noon Event Day 1

In addition to speaker’s topics, we will have a noon event on day 1 to share papers, topics, and expertise thorough a knowledge sharing station. Basically, we’ll provide the space; you provide the paper and/or expertise. You would be on hand during the noon time to provide an overview, answer questions on your papers, share any handouts, etc.

Presenters for sessions or knowledge sharing stations will receive a free pass to attend the full Day 1 of the event, as well as an opportunity to earn up to 5 PDUs. 

Expert Panel – Noon Event Day 2

If you have 15+ years of project or program management experience and want to share your knowledge, we invite you to put your name forward to be on a Project Management Expert’s panel that will be our day 2 noon time event.  You will join other panel experts and be on-hand to answer questions from the audience.  

If you would like to present, but do not have a specific topic, there are choices below that may speak to your experience!
